How we built welcomemarket.gr so that products, images, prices and stock arrive automatically from wholesaler Zazopoulos SA, and orders go back to them for fulfilment, without either side copying data by hand.
Welcome Market sells hair clippers, hair dryers, personal care, small kitchen appliances, vacuum sealing gear and more, from brands such as WAHL, Andis, Tecno Dry and Cecotec. The stock sits with the wholesaler, Zazopoulos SA, whose own B2B platform runs on Entersoft ERP. We had already built that platform, so the question was how a retail shop could sit on top of it.
Every product needs Greek and English text, specs, photos, categories, brand and a price that is right today. Copying that from the supplier by hand would be out of date within a week.
A feed that overwrites every price at 3am is useless the first time the shop runs its own offer. The sync had to know when to keep its hands off.
Welcome Market talks to the Zazopoulos platform through a token-secured API, and that platform sits on Entersoft. So the retail shop sees the same items, stock and statuses the wholesaler's ERP does, one step removed. A dedicated sync module on the shop handles it all on a schedule, with retries, back-off and recovery if a run stops half way.
Every 30 minutes between 1am and 6am the shop pulls the product feed page by page: names, descriptions, specs, barcodes, dimensions, tax class, stock status, prices, sale dates, brand, attributes and categories, in Greek and English. Each product is saved in its own transaction, and products that haven't changed are skipped by comparing content fingerprints.
Photos are fetched from the cheapest source first: a local copy, then the supplier's image CDN, and only then the API. They land in the CMS media library, which builds the thumbnail sizes, and unchanged images are never downloaded twice.
The category tree and brands refresh hourly, as does the price check, so the menu and prices follow the wholesaler during the day, not only overnight.
Each morning the shop reads the supplier's inactive list and hides those products. Nothing is deleted, so URLs and history survive if an item comes back, and a single run can never switch off more than half the catalogue. If the feed ever goes wrong, the shop doesn't empty itself.
From the order screen, staff press "Order Now", choose the lines and quantities, and the order is sent to Zazopoulos. It can also run on its own: once payment clears, only the supplier's items are forwarded automatically, with hourly retries and a guard that stops the same order being sent twice. Cancellations go the same way.
Every hour the shop reads the supplier's order status, payment and shipment state, courier and tracking number, and adds them to the order history. It deliberately doesn't change the shop's own order status, so customers never get a surprise automatic email.
When the shop sells an item at a different price from the supplier's, the change is reported back in batches, and reported again when it returns to the supplier price, so the wholesaler can see how its range is priced at retail.
The shop remembers the last price the supplier sent. If the current price on the site is different, the owner has changed it, so the sync leaves the price, sale price and sale dates alone. Set it back to the supplier's price and the sync takes over again. No settings screen, no flags to remember.
Every sync run is logged with its progress, a health check runs every 15 minutes, and a recovery job picks up any run that stalled. Long imports are tracked page by page, so they resume instead of starting over.
welcomemarket.gr, a retail e-shop on our Laravel-based Tec-Eshop platform that takes its whole catalogue from wholesaler Zazopoulos SA. Products, images, prices, stock and categories sync automatically, and orders are forwarded to Zazopoulos for fulfilment.
Through a token-secured API on the Zazopoulos B2B platform, which runs on Entersoft ERP. A sync module on the shop pulls the catalogue overnight, refreshes prices, categories and order status hourly, switches off discontinued items each morning, and sends orders and price changes back.
The sync leaves it alone. The shop remembers the last supplier price, and if the live price differs, the owner's price wins. Setting it back to the supplier price hands control back to the sync.
